## Paris Convention - Direct Filing

**Patent Term:** 5 or 10 years (not extendible)

**Deadline:** 12 months

**Language:** Spanish

**Translation:** Specification, claims, formal drawings, and abstract with Spanish translation

**Charge for Excess Claims:** No

**Examination Request:** No substantive examination

**Required Documents:** POA must be notarized and legalized

**Annuities:** The first annuity must be paid before the application can be filed

**Patent Term:** 5 or 10 years (not extendible)

**Deadline:** 6 months from priority

**Language:** Spanish

**Translation:** Certified copy of the priority document with Spanish translation

**Charge for Excess Claims:** N/A

**Examination Request:** Formal examination only

**Required Documents:** POA, Deed of Assignment

**Annuities:** The first annuity must be paid before the application can be filed

## Trademark Application

**Patent Term:** 15 years from registration date
